Katie Taylor's Art Grant Proposal - 2008

My Work

Below, is a series of photographs of my own work with still lives. They are all painted in oils, and are ordered from oldest (I painted "Apple Cores" last year in Prof. Hannah's Painting 2 class) to most recent (I painted "Pile of Peels" two weeks ago.) Following my own work are a series of photographs from professional painters, whom I reference in Current Dialog, and whom I find especially creative and inspirational.

This is the piece that started it all. This was my final piece in Prof. Hannah's Painting 2 class last year. I have been painting fruit still lives ever since.

I tried to channel Thiebaud in this piece, and use more experimental and bolder colors
